Perthshire North MSP, Mr John Swinney, and Perth and North Perthshire MP, Mr Pete Wishart, have today congratulated Kinnoull Tennis Club on receiving a £5,000 National Lottery Awards for All Scotland grant from SportScotland.

The club will use the funds to make improvements to their tennis clubhouse in Perth. These improvements will make the facility more accessible for disabled players and spectators.

Commenting, Mr Swinney said:

I am delighted to learn that Kinnoull Tennis Club have received this significant lottery grant.

“The £5000 funding will widen access to the club and improve the overall facilities. This is good news for tennis players across the constituency, and I will be keen to visit the club upon completion of these works.”

Mr Wishart added:

“I congratulate Kinnoull Tennis Club on receiving £5,000 from the National Lottery.

“I am particularly pleased to hear that they intend to use the grant to make the tennis club more accessible for disabled players and spectators. I wish them all the best with their plans and I would encourage any other community groups to look at what funding may be available to them through the National Lottery.”
