The company, which has one of its two bases located in Invergowrie, has publicly confirmed the need for redundancies.

“I have been in regular contact with management and staff at the James Hutton Institute regarding these difficulties and I will continue that dialogue, in addition to the trade unions and the Scottish Government.
“In the days ahead, I will be formally meeting with the management team at JHI. I will also continue to engage with the Scottish Government to explore any potential support that can be offered to this important local employer.”

“The James Hutton Institute are an important employer in my constituency and I understand there have been a number of recent funding issues. James Hutton have received significant support and advice from the Scottish Government. The work that the Hutton Institutes does is stellar and I am proud that they are based in my constituency.”
